The expansion of Warframe continuesand this year’s TennoCon breaking several records

Although it was launched in 2013, Warframe does not show any sign of slowing down.

 

Digital Extremes recently wrapped up TennoCon 2021. The event revealed plans for The New War, crossplay, and even an app for mobile versions of Warframe. The numbers from the event have been published and Warframe appears to be more popular than ever. It broke several records of the franchise and community for concurrent viewers.

The New War expansion was hugely popular with fans, who came out in massive crowds at the main event. TennoCon 2021 was watched by over 540,000 concurrent viewers at its peak. This makes it the most watched Warframe stream. Digital Extremes also pointed out that Warframe is the only Twitch Video Game Channel to make it into the top five of the highest concurrently watched streams in 2021. It`s a fantastic gameand it`s first released in 2013.

Warframe claimed the number 1 spot on the Twitch charts, and waseven named the Global Twitter Trending Category`s top 10. A quick look on SteamCharts will reveal that a brand new concurrent count of players was also recorded on the day of TennoConthat saw over 181,000 gamers online at the same time.

 

“This is the most significant event we`ve had, by many measures… and I`m extremely excited to perform live demos,” Steve Sinclair, Creative Director at Digital Extremes, said during the live broadcast.

 

 

The fans seemed all excited and it will be fascinating to see how the team handles the popularity of Warframe that is growing in the lead up to The New War.
